First and foremost, the Health Wellness Center was developed to inform & educate my readers on Products that will benefit their health & well being. In the last 6 years, I literally have lost about 45 pounds, and my cholesterol levels are below 200. My overall well being is much better today than it has been in the past 35 years!

The year was 2012, I was actually going through a divorce (after 30 years of marriage) and recovering from HIP replacement surgery when my Pilates Coach (Angela) introduced me to essential oils. Since that time, I have incorporated many ESSENTIAL OILS into my daily lifestyle.

My belief is firm about Nutrition, Exercise, and Mindset because too much of the same thing is not necessarily a good thing for us and I DO NOT believe ONE SIZE FITS ALL. Personally, I never have been an enormous exercise person. Growing up, I did not participate in cheer or sports, hell I barely passed P.E.! However, and most importantly since my full right hip replacement, I have learned that exercise does make a difference. MY PILATES FITNESS TRAINING coach is a highly trained professional which was a referral from a friend who has a knee replacement. The one on one coaching sessions with Angela really assisted me in strengthening my core, gaining full mobility and range of motion in my new hip. Angela is a certified PILATES FITNESS TRAINING Coach who works closely with the Ft. Worth Ballet Ballerinas. Turned out, She was a perfect fit for me and my situation. For 3 years I religiously attended coaching sessions with Angela, and it indeed paid off. Today, I try to participate in aquatic water classes to maintain my core strength, mobility, and flexibility, in my hip. I would hands-down recommend these two exercise techniques (little to no strain on your joints) for hip replacement candidates. I am not a doctor, nor do I claim to give medical advice. However, this article is on the bias of personal experience to inform and educate. IS YOUR MINDSET HAMPERING YOUR MENTAL WELL BEING?

The Simple Truths of the matter is: Excess stress can cause mental health challenges, such as depression and anxiety. Merely because your mindset is the internal framework for understanding and coping with life adversities. In my particular situation, I was dealing with quite a bit of underlying issues that I did not realize I had until I experienced the (3) Major Life Changes back in 2012. Since that time I have learned the importance of taking care of my mental mine set. Whether it be through writing in a journal is listening to self-development audio. One thing is for sure each of us should spend a minimum of 30 minutes a day working on ourselves and our mind.

Inevitably life has many lanes, some more difficult than others and mine is undoubtedly indeed no different.  But, because of the action in which I choose to navigate through and practice just a couple of simple truths, the effects are everlasting. I decided to embrace the things I could not change and learned the importance of taking care of myself in mind and body. Furthermore, I just would not be the woman I am today, if not for the lessons learned from yesterday!.

NUTRITION – WHY FIX IT IF IS ISN’T BROKEN?

Their simple diets of home-grown fruits & vegetables from the family farm, beef raised on the farm,  butter & cheese produced with the milk from the cows on the farm,  chickens were hatched on the farm, eggs were laid by the chickens that were raised on the farm (I think you get the picture) I promise you can’t make this stuff up. Besides, COFFEE was enjoyed almost if not every morning and afternoon, and Red Wine was a staple and enjoyed just about every evening.

SUPERFOOD HEALTHY – DIET OF CHOICE

I merely eat FRESH not PROCESSED food, and I do in fact splurge in moderation. Also, I try to eat my heavy meals before 2:00 pm in the afternoons, so that my body has enough time to digest and eliminate what I have consumed fully. Hydration with WATER is also an essential element. I try very hard to stay hydrated every day, all day. I never really paid attention to hydration and my water intake until one-day several years ago I go dehydrated. OH BOY! That was an eye-opener, it was not fun.

Oh, I almost forgot, I do have a cup or two of COFFEE most mornings & a glass or two of FINE WINE in the evening, a couple of evenings each week. Please name my diet whatever you would like… I call it eating simple & smart as my great-grandparents did back in the day!
